What is a Publishing Conflict?
A publishing conflict can emerge when one or more publishing parties add more than 100% ownership to a Sound Recording asset in the YouTube Content Management System. The asset conflict will be resolved when one or more publishing parties adjust their claim(s) so that the total ownership is at exactly 100% ownership.
What happens to my Publishing revenue when my publishing asset is in conflict?
When a Publishing asset is in conflict, YouTube creates a fund that escrows and accrues revenues generated by the asset until the publishing parties have fully resolved the conflict. Once the asset conflict is resolved, Publishing revenue will flow to the parties for their ownership claim percentage - and, any escrowed monies will be paid out in the monthly adjustment reporting.
