The Release Projects feature is designed to streamline your release campaign management and create project-based workflows.
Managing releases with multiple products across various platforms and marketing strategies can be complex and time-consuming. The Release Projects feature allows you to easily group related products (such as waterfall products) under a single project, making it easier to manage and track long campaigns.
To help measure the success of your campaigns, we have also integrated Release Projects into the Analytics tab in FUGA Next. This allows you to monitor the performance of your entire project over time and gain insights into which products and events are driving results, enabling you to optimize your marketing efforts effectively.
Please find more information below.
How To Find Release Projects
Release Projects are found in the main Catalog section in FUGA Next. You can view your Release Projects by selecting the ‘Release Projects’ tab under the Catalog header. Here you can also create new Release Projects, and archive them when needed.
You can use this section to search and locate any existing Projects in your catalog. You have the option to search by artist and filter via the status of a Project.
Creating a new Release Project
To create a new Release Project select the ‘Create New Release Project’ button found in the main Release Projects tab on the Catalog page.
This will bring up a window to name your Release Project. The Release Project name is a mandatory field, but you can choose any name you wish. Once you’ve entered this, click CREATE.
Setting up a Release Project
After creating a new Project you will need to enter some details about your Project:
- Release Project Name: this is entered when you create a Project. You can edit this name as and when you need
- Release Project Artist: you can choose an artist from your catalog to assign as the primary artist for a Project
- Release Project Code: this is an optional space for you to assign a code to a project. You are free to choose your own name for this field.
- Description: a space to add some text to describe your project
- Project Start Date: a date field to mark the date your Project, or campaign, begins
Managing a Release Project
The primary action to set up a Project is to add one or more Products. You can do this using the location below by selecting the “Add Products” button in the Products section.
This will open the Add Products window where you can search and navigate the products in your catalog to add them to the Project.
Please note you can only add a Product to one Project. If you see there are Products in this window that you cannot add to a Project, it’s likely they’ve already been added to another Project.
To add Products, search and select your products in this window and select the ADD button.
Products can still be in the draft state when adding to a Project.
You can also create new products within this window by clicking “+ CREATE NEW PRODUCT” in the top right.
The created Product will automatically be added to the Project.
To remove a Product, navigate back to the Products section. Click the 3 dots on the right of the product, and select “Remove Product” using the pop out menu.
Analytics
You can easily review the performance of your Project using the “Trends” section on the Project page. This section provides detailed insights into the performance of all products included in the Release Project, allowing you to track both streams and downloads over time. You can choose to view this data using either a line graph or a bar chart.
You can also view the performance of a Release Project directly in the Analytics tab in FUGA Next. You can filter a Project using the Release Projects filter. Select your Project in the below filter example to show the data associated.
Archiving a Release Project
If you need to mark a Project as Archived then you can do this in the main Release Projects section in the Catalog tab. Click the three dots on the right hand side and select Archive Release Project in the pop-up menu.
This action sets the state of the project to “archived”, allowing you to filter your Projects on either an “active” or “archived” status. An archived Project will still collect Analytics data and the Products will still remain locked to that given Project.
How do I know if a Product is part of a Release Project?
You can see if a product is already part of a Project in the header on top of the product page:
