If you cannot locate your release on Instagram stories, it could be caused by one of the following reasons:
2. Consumer release date override
3. Facebook Audio Library / Facebook Fingerprinting
The product is still in QC
(Please check your contract if this service is available to you)
If the delivery status in Product Delivery Instructions is Queued this could mean that the release is still in the queue to be reviewed by the FUGA Content Team.
To adhere to Facebook’s content delivery requirements, all releases delivered to Facebook require manual review before delivery, in the same manner as Apple Music and Youtube deliveries.
We recommend a delivery lead time of 5 business days before the release date to ensure your products go live as intended.
Consumer release date override
Facebook is an ISRC-based DSP, which means it does not recognize asset updates based on the UPC.
Facebook overrides the Consumer Release Date each time you deliver a track with an identical ISRC, even on different products.
If you add an asset on more than one product (for example a single and then later in an album), Facebook will overwrite the Consumer Release Date once you deliver the new product causing the initial asset to disappear.
Here is an example:
- You deliver a single with a Consumer Release Date of September 01, 2022
- Then, on September 15, you include the same asset in an EP with a Consumer Release Date of November 01, 2022 and deliver it
- The asset that was already released as a single on September 01 will now disappear because Facebook has changed the Consumer Release Date of that asset to November 01
To correct this, redeliver the first single (with Consumer Release Date of September 01). This delivery will override the Consumer Release Date of the EP / Album and make the asset(s) available again.
To prevent this, FUGA advises delivering the product with the latest release date first. If you have all of the products available (singles / EP / Album), deliver them in reverse chronological order, from the latest Consumer Release Date to the earliest. For example, deliver the album, then the EP, and finally the singles.
Facebook Audio Library / Facebook Fingerprinting
For an asset to be available on Instagram, you have to deliver your product to both the Facebook Audio Library and Facebook Fingerprinting feeds. If the product is delivered only to one of the feeds, your asset will not be searchable in the Facebook and Instagram Audio Library.
Once you redeliver the product to Facebook / Instagram the asset should appear back online within 6 to 12 hours.
If none of the above applies to you, please reach out to support@fuga.com with the UPC and ISRCs of the relevant products/assets that are not live on Facebook / Instagram.
