This article explains how to move or remap your releases to the correct artist page on major Digital Service Providers (DSPs), or how to create a new artist page when needed. Instructions vary depending on whether the DSP supports artist identifiers.
Apple Music, Audiomack, and Spotify
These platforms support artist identifiers—unique codes that ensure your releases are associated with the correct artist page.
To move a release to an existing artist page:
- Update the artist identifier in the metadata to the correct value.
- Redeliver the product via your standard workflow.
To move a release to a new artist page:
- Select the Mark as new artist option when editing the metadata.
- Redeliver the product.
SoundCloud
If no artist identifier is provided during delivery, SoundCloud will auto-generate an artist profile. If an artist already has a SoundCloud profile and you want to consolidate profiles:
Contact avs@fuga.com with:
- The link to the profile you want to keep
- The link to the profile you want to remove
Important Notes:
- Only auto-generated profiles can be deleted.
- When merging into a manually created profile, follower and stream data will be retained from the manual profile.
- It is not possible to merge two manually created profiles.
To ensure correct mapping, always add the SoundCloud ID in the FUGA Interface before delivery.
DSPs That Do Not Support Artist Identifiers
If a DSP does not support artist identifiers and mapping is incorrect:
Contact support@fuga.com with the following details:
- Name of the affected DSP
- Link to the incorrect artist page
- Link to the correct artist page (or indicate a new one should be created)
- Link(s) to the release(s) that need to be moved
- The UPC(s) of those releases
Pandora
To submit a mapping request for Pandora, contact support@fuga.com with:
- Primary and secondary genre(s) for the artist
- Location (city, state, and/or country most associated with the artist)
- UPC(s) or Pandora URLs for the releases to be moved
- Any supporting links, such as official website, artist profile, or social media pages
Pandora uses a combination of metadata and contextual information to differentiate between artists with the same or similar names.
