This article explains how to create a new product in the FUGA Interface, including how to upload audio assets and complete the required product metadata. It outlines essential guidelines for metadata formatting, artist attribution, cover artwork, and release parameters to ensure your product is compliant with Digital Service Providers (DSPs) and ready for delivery.
Step 1: Create the Product
To begin creating a product:
- In the FUGA Interface, navigate to the Catalog tab and click the PRODUCTS tab.
- Click the + CREATE button.
- In the pop-up modal, enter the Product Title. Do not include version descriptors such as "Deluxe" or "Radio Edit" in this field.
- Upload the cover artwork by clicking the record icon.
- Click Create. The product is saved as a Draft.
Step 2: Add Assets (Tracks)
Once the product is in Draft status, add existing assets or upload new ones.
To add existing assets:
- Click + ADD EXISTING and select assets from your catalog.
To upload new assets:
- Click UPLOAD NEW.
- Click + ADD FILES to select and upload audio files. Ensure files adhere to required audio specifications before uploading.
- Enter an Asset Title and an optional Track Version (e.g., Instrumental). Do not manually enter brackets or parentheses in the version name as formatting is applied automatically per DSP specifications.
- Click Create Assets. Upload begins automatically.
To assign artists:
- Click + ADD ARTIST under the Artists section.
- Type out the exact artist name, including casing and special characters.
- Select the existing artist or, if creating a new artist entry, click ADD AS NEW.
