How to Configure a Product for Streaming-Only Availability

This article explains how to configure a product in the FUGA Interface to be available for streaming only by adjusting its usage rights. You will learn to disable all download permissions and enable only streaming rights to ensure correct delivery to DSPs.

Overview

Streaming-only availability restricts end users from downloading content and allows access only via streaming. This setup is useful for exclusive streaming releases or content that must remain non-downloadable.

Prerequisites

• Access to your FUGA account with product editing permissions.
• The product is already created and in an editable state (not yet approved).

Step-by-Step Instructions

To ensure a product is available for streaming only, you’ll need to adjust its usage rights accordingly. Follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the product
   1. Log in to the FUGA Interface and locate the product in your dashboard.
   2. Click on the product title to open its details.
2. Edit Usage Rights
   1. Scroll to the Usage Rights section.
   2. Remove all download rights:
      1. Disable permissions for Permanent Download.
      2. Disable permissions for Subscription Download.
3. Enable Streaming Rights Only
   1. Ensure only the Streaming option is selected and active.
   2. Confirm that no download options remain enabled.
4. Save and Submit
   1. Click Save to apply changes.

By applying these changes, the product will be delivered to platforms with streaming rights only, and users will not have the option to download the content.
