This article explains how to configure a product for download-only access in the FUGA Interface. By following this process, you will restrict a product and its underlying assets to purchase and download exclusively, removing streaming availability across all connected Digital Service Providers (DSPs). You will also learn how to disable individual asset sales so assets are only available with full product purchases.
Requirements
- Access to the FUGA Interface with permissions to modify product settings.
- A product already uploaded and ready for configuration.
Step-by-Step Instructions
To make a product available exclusively for download (without streaming availability), follow these steps:
- Navigate to the PRODUCTS section in the FUGA Interface and select the product you wish to configure.
- Scroll to the Usage Rights section and disable all streaming rights toggles. Disabling streaming rights prevents delivery to streaming-only DSPs and avoids delivery failures.
- Switch to the ASSETS section to configure individual asset availability.
- For each asset, disable the Available Separately toggle. You can navigate between assets using the drop-down menu located below the asset title. Disabling this toggle ensures that assets can only be purchased or downloaded as part of the full product bundle.
- Click ADD CONFIGURATION to save your changes at both the product and asset levels.
Troubleshooting
- If streaming options still appear on a DSP shortly after configuration, allow 24 to 72 hours (and up to 5 business days) for usage rights changes to propagate fully across DSPs.
- If individual assets remain purchasable, return to the ASSETS tab, use the asset drop-down menu, and confirm that the Available Separately toggle is turned off for every asset.
- Ensure you have clicked ADD CONFIGURATION to save all updates across the product and individual assets.
If availability issues persist after the propagation window, contact your FUGA representative or reach out via our support channel.
