This article explains the process for onboarding labels and requesting dedicated label pages on Beatport and Traxsource via the FUGA Interface. You will learn about the mandatory metadata, asset specifications, and submission steps required to ensure your label is correctly configured before delivering content. Follow these instructions to prepare your delivery agreements and prevent distribution delays.
Overview
Beatport and Traxsource are curated Digital Service Providers (DSPs) that organize their catalogs around dedicated label and artist pages. Because of this structure, labels must be formally onboarded and approved by each platform before any release distribution can occur.
The availability of delivery to these specific platforms depends entirely on your current distribution agreement. Contact your FUGA representative or reach out via our support channel to confirm whether these services are included in your contract. Each platform independently reviews and approves new labels based on catalog quality and genre alignment. Approval is not guaranteed, and timelines vary by provider.
Beatport Label Setup Requirements
To request a new label page or onboard an existing label to Beatport, you must compile the mandatory metadata and assets listed below. Once gathered, contact your FUGA representative or reach out via our support channel by emailing support@fuga.com with the following information:
Label Name: Provide the exact name as it must appear on the store.
Previous Presence: Indicate if the label has been listed on Beatport previously (Yes / No).
Social Media Links: Include active links to the label's official website, Facebook, Instagram, or X (formerly Twitter).
Recent releases: Provide links to at least two recent releases.
Associated Artists: List the primary artists regularly releasing music under the label.
Release Schedule: Provide a brief description of upcoming release plans and frequency.
Selected Beatport Genres: Specify which Beatport genres apply to the label. Choose from Beatport's official genre list.
Label Logo: Attach a square, high-resolution image file with minimum dimensions of 500x500 pixels and maximum dimensions of 2999x2999 pixels.
Traxsource Label Setup Requirements
To request a label page on Traxsource, you must submit a separate set of profile details. Email the following compiled metadata and assets to support@fuga.com:
- Label Name
- Label Biography: A short description of the label's focus, history, and genre orientation
- Example Releases: Include links or identifiers for notable past releases (if available)
- Label Logo: Attach a logo with minimum dimensions of 600x600 pixels
Each platform independently reviews and approves new labels. Submission does not guarantee approval, and timelines for approval may vary by DSP.
Critical Considerations
To maximize the likelihood of approval from each Digital Service Provider (DSP), ensure all submitted assets conform to standard delivery guidelines.
Label names must remain perfectly consistent across all metadata fields and profile requests.
All uploaded logos must be strictly square, clear, and perfectly legible at smaller display scales within mobile environments.
Accurate genre classification is vital for the curation teams at both platforms; always select the primary genres that genuinely reflect the sound of your upcoming catalog.
