Introduction
This article explains how to ingest music video files via the MISS Tool. Clients can use the same spreadsheet template used for audio tracks to build products containing video tracks.
Overview
The MISS Tool automatically detects video files during ingestion and creates video tracks accordingly. To ensure compatibility, download the spreadsheet template from the MISS Tool page within the FUGA platform.
Filename Standards for Audio and Video Tracks
To support accurate ingestion and prevent issues with asset mapping, follow the filename formatting standards for audio and video tracks:
-
Required Format:
upc_volume_track -
Example:
8717306932202_1_01.movfor a video corresponding to track 1 of a single-disc product.
Correct filename formatting ensures that product cover art and optional video screen capture images are correctly ingested.
Product Cover Art Requirements
Cover art is mandatory for all products, regardless of format type. The filename must exactly match the product's Universal Product Code (UPC).
-
Required Format:
upc.jpg -
Example:
8717306932202.jpg
This requirement ensures successful ingestion of cover art.
Optional: Video Screen Capture Images
Clients may optionally include a video screen capture image to be ingested alongside each video track. This image is not required for the video track to ingest and can also be uploaded later within the FUGA platform.
- The screen capture filename must match the corresponding video file.
-
Example: If the video file is named
8717306932202_1_01.mov, the screen capture image should be named8717306932202_1_01.jpg.
Important Note on Multiple Image Files
When uploading video products that include both a product cover image and a screen capture image, adhere strictly to the filename guidelines above. This prevents incorrect assignment, such as cover art being mistakenly ingested as a video screen capture image.
