This article explains how to initiate a product-level takedown across Digital Service Providers (DSPs) using the FUGA Interface. You will learn how to select target DSPs within the Product Delivery Instructions section, submit takedown requests, troubleshoot common delivery issues, and understand expected processing timeframes across various distribution partners.
Overview
A takedown can be initiated in the FUGA Interface at any time for an already-delivered product. Takedowns may be required when territorial rights expire, releases are recalled, or incorrect metadata has been delivered.
Takedowns in the FUGA Interface are performed exclusively at the product level and cannot be executed for individual tracks or assets. Takedown requests can be applied to specific DSPs or to all DSPs where the product was previously delivered.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to the FUGA Interface.
- Use the search function to locate the product you wish to take down.
- Click on the product to open the product details page.
- Scroll down to the Product Delivery Instructions section.
- In the delivery grid, select the checkboxes next to the Digital Service Providers (DSPs) from which the release should be removed. Multiple DSPs can be selected simultaneously.
- Scroll to the top of the Product Delivery Instructions section.
- Click Takedown to initiate the process.
- Confirm the action in the dialogue prompt that appears.
Processing Timelines
Once a takedown request is submitted through the FUGA Interface, processing times vary depending on the destination partner:
- Standard processing times range between 24 and 72 hours.
- Depending on the DSP, some partners may take up to 5 business days to fully process and reflect the removal on their platforms.
Troubleshooting
- Takedown button is not visible: Ensure that the product has been previously delivered. Takedowns can only be initiated on delivered products.
- DSP is not listed: If a desired DSP does not appear in the delivery list, it was not included in the original product delivery.
- No confirmation dialogue: Refresh your browser or clear your browser cache and retry the process.
Important Considerations
- Takedowns only affect selected DSPs; other active deliveries remain live unless removed manually.
- Executing a takedown does not delete the product from your catalog within the FUGA Interface.
- You may redeliver the same product to a DSP after a takedown has been completed, if required.
