This article explains how to add lyrics to an existing product in the FUGA Interface.
Adding lyrics is a key part of enhancing metadata quality and accessibility across Digital Service Providers (DSPs). Lyrics can be manually added to audio assets already associated with a product in your catalogue.
Requirements
To add lyrics to a product in the FUGA Interface:
- You must have edit access to the relevant product.
- The product must already include at least one audio asset.
Ensure that lyrics comply with all rights and formatting standards required by the DSP(s) you intend to deliver to.
Step-by-step Instructions
- Log into your FUGA account via the FUGA Interface.
- Use the Catalog section to locate the relevant product in your catalogue.
- Open the product and click Unlock and Edit at the top right corner of the screen.
- In the Assets tab, click on the audio asset to which you want to add lyrics.
- Scroll to the Lyrics field within the asset view.
- Click Add Lyrics.
- Enter the lyrics into the provided text field. Ensure proper formatting and line breaks for readability.
- Click Save to confirm your changes.
Troubleshooting
- Lyrics field not visible: Confirm that you are editing an audio asset (not video or image).
- Changes not saving: Ensure that you have clicked Unlock and Edit and that your session has not timed out.
- Incorrect formatting: Use standard text formatting; avoid HTML or unsupported markup.

- Lyrics are not automatically delivered to all DSPs. Confirm DSP-specific requirements before delivery.
- If lyrics need to be removed or corrected after delivery, repeat the steps above and re-deliver the product.
