This article explains how to manage, map, and correct artist profile pages on major Digital Service Providers (DSPs). You will learn how to navigate the FUGA Platform to input unique artist identifiers, execute bulk redeliveries for profile updates, and submit manual support requests to correct mismapped content or remove releases incorrectly associated with your artists.
Managing Artist Pages with Identifiers
Digital Service Providers (DSPs) such as Apple Music, Audiomack, Spotify, and SoundCloud utilize unique artist identifiers to ensure content is accurately assigned to the correct profile. Adding these identifiers to your metadata prevents releases from being incorrectly mapped to profiles belonging to different artists with identical or similar names.
For SoundCloud profiles, entering an identifier before delivery is highly recommended to protect profile integrity, though manual support routing remains available if automated mapping issues occur.
To map a release to an existing artist profile page:
Navigate to Catalog > Artist and select the relevant artist profile.
Under the Custom identifiers field, click + ADD IDENTIFIER.
When the Add Artist Identifier pop-up appears, select the specific Digital Service Provider (DSP) you have an identifier for, then click CONTINUE.
Under the question "Does this artist have an existing profile page in [DSP]?", select Yes.
Enter the unique code in the DSP Identifier field.
Click ADD to save your progress.
Redeliver all relevant products via your standard delivery workflow.
To request a brand new artist profile page on the DSP:
Navigate to Catalog > Artist and select the relevant artist profile.
Under the Custom identifiers field, click + ADD IDENTIFIER.
When the Add Artist Identifier pop-up appears, select the specific Digital Service Provider (DSP), then click CONTINUE.
Under the question "Does this artist have an existing profile page in [DSP]?", select No.
Click ADD to save your progress. The system will display "New profile will be requested on next delivery" next to the platform name.
Redeliver the product via your standard delivery workflow to trigger the profile request.
Executing Bulk Redeliveries
When managing profile remapping across a large catalog, updates can be processed simultaneously rather than through individual product delivery. Once the updated artist identifiers or profile creation requests are saved in the artist settings, you can execute redeliveries in bulk for all impacted assets.
For detailed instructions on selecting multiple releases and triggering updates across several products at once, please refer to our Performing Bulk Actions and Tag Actions in the FUGA Interface guide.
Manual Support Requests
Certain Digital Service Providers (DSPs) do not support automated artist identifiers within delivery metadata fields.
Managing Artist Pages without Identifiers
Some Digital Service Providers (DSPs) do not support automated artist identifiers within their delivery metadata fields. If a release is incorrectly mapped on these platforms, a manual update request must be submitted. To request mapping adjustments for these platforms, contact your FUGA representative or reach out via our support channel with the following details:
Name of the affected Digital Service Provider (DSP)
The Universal Product Code (UPC) for each affected release
A direct link to the incorrect artist page where the release currently appears
A direct link to the correct artist page (or an explicit statement indicating a new profile needs to be created)
Direct links to the specific releases that require relocation
Requesting Release Removals
Incorrect release mapping can also occur when an external release that does not belong to your artist is mistakenly associated with your artist's page. This scenario cannot be resolved via automated platform updates and requires manual support intervention.
To request the removal of an external release from your artist's page, contact your FUGA representative or reach out via our support channel with the following details:
Affected DSP (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music)
Artist Name (as it appears on the DSP)
Direct Link to the Artist Page (URL of the incorrect artist page)
Direct Link(s) to the Incorrectly Mapped Release(s) (one or multiple URLs)
Please note that the time required for third-party platforms to resolve these removal requests varies widely depending on the support capacity and internal processes of the specific DSP.
FUGA will relay operational updates as they are received from the platform, but cannot guarantee or expedite third-party response timelines. If an unowned release is not removed after an extended period, ensure your initial submission details were completely accurate and follow up on your open request channel.
For any additional mapping requests or issues, contact your FUGA representative or reach out via our support channel. Be sure to include clear and complete information to avoid processing delays.
