This article explains how to manage multiple assets simultaneously within the product catalog using bulk actions and tag updates on the FUGA Interface. Users will learn how to accurately select batches of products, configure automated catalog actions like approval or delivery, monitor active tasks via the processing queue, and apply organizational tags efficiently to optimize their digital music distribution workflow.
Executing Tag Actions
Two distinct tag features are available to help organize your catalog directly from the product display interface:
Tag selected products
- Select your items from the grid view table and click the TAG button. From there, you can click on Tag (x) Products, and select an existing system tag or generate a new custom tag to apply across the selected items.
Tag by Universal Product Codes (UPC):
- Click Tag by UPCs to open a configuration window where you can paste a comma-separated list of values. This allows you to apply a unified tag to a large volume of products instantly without manual table selection.
Executing Bulk Actions
To perform an action across multiple releases, navigate to the product catalog and click the Bulk actions button. This initializes the multi-product configuration workflow.
Product Selection Options
Making a product selection is the mandatory first step when performing any bulk update. To apply an action to a manually selected set of products, switch to the grid table view of the product catalog and check the boxes next to the desired products. Alternatively, you can choose from pre-defined product selection filters available in the dropdown interface, which allow you to isolate assets by specific categories such as tags, primary artists, or labels.
Available Bulk Actions
Once you define your selection, you can choose one of the following operations to perform:
- Approve: Moves products that are in a draft state and contain no missing metadata fields to an approved status. In the setup window, you can input consumer and original release dates. Activating the overwrite toggle replaces any existing dates on those items. Activating the exclusive option makes the products exclusive to the Digital Service Providers (DSPs) currently marked in a draft state.
- (Re)deliver: Distributes or updates a selection of products to selected DSP groups. You must specify parameters for your delivery type:
- Deliver:
- First time delivery: Sends new content to the selected destinations.
- Taken down products: Restores products that were previously removed from target DSPs.
- Excluded products: Re-delivers and includes any items that were previously left out of the release.
- Redelivery:
- Metadata only: Submits layout updates only, for DSPs that support metadata-only updates.
- Include audio & cover art: Delivers the full asset bundle, including all media files.
- Deliver:
- Takedown from DSPs: Removes the selected catalog items from some or all of your target DSPs. Pre-defined DSP groups can be used to speed up this selection process.
- Territory Update: Adds or removes specific territory overrides across the selected products.
- Delete products: Permanently removes the selected products from your catalog. You can optionally delete assets attached exclusively to those items. Note that the delete action cannot be executed if the entire catalog is selected.
- Push to subaccount: Transfers the product selection to a designated Subaccount. This function is only available for products originally created by a Primary Account.
- Usage rights: Updates DSP usage rights rules for the selected group of products.
- Custom pricing: Assigns a specific catalog tier or wholesale price to a designated DSP and territory combination across the selection.
Monitoring the Bulk Actions Overview
When you execute a bulk process, the system displays a notification confirming that your task has entered the processing queue. Click the Go to bulk overview link within the notification to monitor progress, or navigate to the page at any time via the settings menu located in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
The bulk overview table displays a real-time queue of processing and completed tasks. You can manage live tasks directly from this view:
- To pause a processing task, click the Pause [⏸] icon.
- To restart a paused task, click the Play [▶] icon.
- To view granular details of a specific execution, click View results.
The detail view displays a summary of the action, chosen configuration parameters, target DSPs, and a line-by-line result for every product inside the batch. Individual items are cataloged as actioned, skipped, or failed with errors.
