This article explains how to request the removal of incorrectly mapped releases from a Digital Service Provider (DSP) artist page when the release does not belong to the artist in question.
Overview
Incorrect release mapping occurs when a release is incorrectly associated with an artist page on a DSP. This can cause confusion for fans and negatively impact analytics and rights reporting. Clients can request removal of these releases by contacting FUGA Support with the necessary details.
Please note: This service is subject to your contractual agreement with FUGA. Check your contract or contact your FUGA representative to confirm availability.
Requirements for Request Submission
Before submitting a request, prepare the following information:
- Affected DSP (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music)
- Artist Name (as it appears on the DSP)
- Direct Link to the Artist Page (URL of the incorrect artist page)
- Direct Link(s) to the Incorrectly Mapped Release(s) (one or multiple URLs)
How to Submit a Request
- Compile all required information listed above.
- Send an email to support@fuga.com.
- In the subject line, clearly indicate: Incorrect Release Mapping Request.
- Include all necessary details in the email body for faster processing.
Processing Time
The time required to process these requests varies depending on the support capacity and processes of the specific DSP. While some requests may be resolved within 48 hours, others may take several weeks.
FUGA will relay updates as received from the DSP. Unfortunately, FUGA cannot guarantee or expedite response times on behalf of third-party DSPs.
Troubleshooting & Follow-Up
If the incorrect release reappears or is not removed after a significant period:
- Confirm the removal request was acknowledged by FUGA.
- Ensure all required information was complete.
- Follow up with FUGA Support, referencing the original ticket number if available.
